Showtime!

If you didn't know, there was a month long festival on in Edinburgh called the Fringe with a ton of shows on every day. It had all sorts of stuff, comedians, drama, theatre and artwork. Oh, and the SoCo Urban Garden with ramps built by the Transgression skatepark crew. The ramps were actually built on a site where a pub had burnt down a few years ago, so they built the scaffolding for the ramps (and bar, open til 5am!) )on top of a load of rubble and dumped a load of sand in the lower viewing area to make a beach. Pretty cool scene.

The shows were on every night for the whole month so as you can imagine, the riders were happy to see some out of towners arrive to bust some moves in the shows. I rode a few of the shows when I was there which was actually quite fun, along with some other locals and visitors. The show had all sorts of shit going on. Breakdancing, free-running, extreme unicycling, trials, skating and blading with bmx in there too. Everyone would chill in 'the hole' before the show which was pretty sketchy. Planks of wood on scaffolding isn't the safest!

The last show was on Monday night so if you didn't catch it you missed out, but if you're in the area, be sure to head to Ocean Terminal and ride Transgression park.
