Sputnic: Bryce Toole Q&A and Product Update.
Sputnic have just done a Q&A with Mr Bryce Toole. (Click the image to view!)
Also a little Update on their products range and a photo of Tony Neyer (who gave me some sound ACL surgery and rehab advice, cheers man!)
"To give you a little behind the scenes, the past 7 months we have been working super
hard on redesigning the entire Sputnic collection, now after all the hard work the
2010 collection will be dropping late Summer.
Starting with the Skyline frame, it has been fully redesigned by Tony and the details that he
speced on his new frame are clean and dialed as Neyer is.
Also exciting frame news is this year will be the first ever signature model for
Rickey Bates. I am sure all of you have seen Banned 3 and or the Shadow "Into the
Void" DVDs and if you haven't you need to see it now! You will fully understand why
Rickey has a signature model dropping! Along with a healthy dose of some new parts
including cranks, stems, hubs, seats and apparel this is going to make for the best
Sputnic collection to date.
I would love to give you guys more details about the new products but for now this is
it. Stay tuned and we will be dropping a new site and more details about all the new
products coming out soon.
Thanks to all the riders out there that have stood behind us, you guys rule!"
Check Tony In his mullet here. Sweet.

G shock party
Inverurie needs you!
Mingo of 20twenty sent over a link to a petition to help get Inverurie a new skatepark!
"Inverurie is the home of 20Twenty/BSD team rider Si Gibb and so many other BMXers. Only a few years ago there were more riders in Invergroovy than there was Aberdeen and the scene is still going strong since most of them have moved to the big smog, but in the past few years the park has fallen into disrepair and IInverurie needs and deserves a new park NOW!
Please take a minute and sign the petition Mike walker has set up to get our feelings accross!"

FAT BMX + wedding
Have a peep at http://www.fatbmx.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=7651 if you're interested.
Also, congratulations to Mingo (20Twenty Owner) and Jill, who got married yesterday. Loads of bmxers were in attendance from all over the world, including the boss, Hitcher, and the man from Del Monte! Good times were had by all and I reckon I'll be seeing a few hungover faces later today!

Go vote now
Here’s your chance to help us get funding for an awesome skatepark. All you need to do is click the link below and select “Vote for the King’s Field skate park!” Then choose “Twickenham, St Margarets and Teddington - King’s Field skate park” It only takes a second! (You can only vote once on one web browser)
Twickenham St Margarets and Teddington Capital Projects
King’s Field skate park - £90,000
Kings Field skatepark is the only skate, BMX, in-line skate facility in Richmond upon Thames. It is extremely well used and attracts over 12,000 young people every year. The new KCafé project next to the skate park also offers youth sessions, youth employment (at the café) and assists in the organisation of regular competitions and trips to other skate facilities and a yearly residential, ‘the skate and surf safari’. There is also a new mobile ramp facility that will offer young skaters employment as skate or BMX tutors at local youth clubs and schools and in local parks.
Plans for world class concrete bowl and street scene skate park have been developed and are supported by the borough parks (who have promised £30,000 to the project). This is required as the current ramps are coming to the end of their lives and are increasingly dangerous. If funding is secured the park reconstruction will be completed by May 2010. In addition to skate activities, KCafé will offer a range of other activities to young people using the site. To complete this rebuild we are seeking £120,000 from the current youth capital strategy to develop a world class skate park. Please, vote King’s Field!
